Knowledge: A solid understanding of the nature of ADHD is the starting point of your journey forward. You may benefit from learning about the basic physiology and neurology of ADHD, how it manifests, and how it may influence how you think, feel, and behave. Coaching may also "myth-bust" some of the most common misunderstandings about what ADHD is (and isn't).
Self-awareness: As you acquire a greater understanding of ADHD (and your own experience of it), you will be in a better position to develop a more balanced view of your greatest strengths and abilities, as well as your challenges. You may also come to some meaningful insights about why your ADHD behaviours show up in some situations but not others.
Tools, skills, and strategies: As you gain a more complete understanding of the specific ways in which you are influenced by your own ADHD, I can help you to build a custom toolkit of strategies for managing your ADHD traits, while also reducing the negative impact that they have on your life.
Confidence: With greater appreciation for the nature of ADHD, awareness of your own strengths, and some practical tools, I know that you will become increasingly confident in your own abilities.
Belief in the future: One of the most powerful things I can do for you is offer support as you build upon your newfound confidence. I can help you to imagine, plan, and execute a vision of your new self, strong, confident, and free of the negative connotations of ADHD. |
